When not traveling, you will work from your home office, preferably in the Eastern U.S. The ideal candidate will be located in the Metro Detroit Area or near Bristol, IN, but we will consider strong candidates in other U.S. locations near a major airport.

As Events and Promotions Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all event and promotional activities for The Shyft Group specialty vehicle brands and products. You'll manage the events schedule, scope appropriate event space before contract negotiation, make space reservations, work within a project budget, ensure space and accommodation availability for breakout meetings, hotels, etc., and effectively communicate plans to stakeholders as needed and appropriate. Specifically, you will:

• Manage orders, events-specific suppliers, platforms, agreements, etc.
• Conduct site visits for appropriate events space 
• Lead and/or participate in vendor negotiations
• Manage vendors’ workforce
• Travel to support all relevant events, as required (tradeshows, customer and dealer events, facility openings, etc.)
• Maintain inventory of tradeshow-related assets
• Maintain inventory of on-hand promotional items
• Order promotional giveaway items for events
• Work with promotional vendors to maintain online store functionality, recommend seasonally appropriate stock, and oversee key merchandise orders

This is a busy, tradeshow-heavy role, including concurrent tradeshows and complex requirements. Events can range from small virtual events to large events requiring the movement of a 70' trailer and chassis to engage luxury motorhome buyers.
